The first brain dump
I've always been one to default to writing things down on a physical piece of paper or notebook with a pen, usually a parker because you spend more on it, and you think you'll use it a lot.
I have used that logic for a lot of things, and it always ends up the same way, I don't even know where that pen is — probably in a drawer somewhere. The point is, I haven't jotted down my thoughts or emotions or the things I'm doing or the places I'm going in a long time. I had a stint pre- and post-therapy where I was writing down daily emotions, things I was happy for, things that upset me, etc. but let's be real, I don't like writing pen on paper. I spend far too much time day in day out in front of a screen. My hands have basically adapted to the shape and size of a keyboard, surely it would be easier to dump this sorts of stuff on a screen?
Who knows — maybe ill scrap this whole idea after a week and forget about it. I would never write at the weekends, that's the only time my brain is disengaged from work — writing included.
So yeah, hello and all that — Harvs is short for Harvey. Come listen to me talk about what I have going on.
